THESA lists the subject of the doctoral theses IN PROGRESS, from the first year of registration of doctoral candidates and up to the defense of their thesis. References to theses remain in the database for one year after the doctoral diploma is issued, after which the full bibliographic refeerences to the theses are listed in the TELETHESE bibliographic database containing entries to all theses defended in French universities and accredited Grandes Ecoles.

THESA does not contain entries for DEA postgraduate dissertations.

  • key words : subject of the thesis in French and English, research fields, French and English key words and doctoral program speciality of each school
  • research field in coded or verbal form
  • other serach criteria :
    • region and/or country of enrolment institution and place of doctoral research
    • author (name of doctoral candidate)
    • place of doctoral research
    • institution of enrolment
    • institution of thesis defence
    • thesis supervisor
  • status of thesis

The full reference displays all the above information plus references to any publications by the doctoral candidate if applicable.
